One point that Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders are highlighting the most is that there are over 40 candidates in the Congress party in race for the CM post. This is to point out that it is difficult to find unity among Congress leaders to provide a stable government in the state.
As if to dismiss rumours on this count, Congress senior leader and former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy said that he was not at all in the race for CM post. He explained that he had once served as a union minister which is enough for him and he no longer has higher hopes in this regard. His disclosure came as a big relief for the Mahakutami allies which have been facing this crisis for long.
TRS leader and minister K Taraka Rama Rao makes it a point in his election speeches that Congress leaders will not serve the people with unity but they will only fight for posts internally. If elected, Congress leaders will be seen making trips to Delhi and they will mortgage the Telangana’s interests to their party high command.
This point has been troubling the Mahakutami leaders more than the Congress since they are not able to highlight their chief ministerial candidate unlike TRS which has its supremo and present CM KCR.
