Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan has objected to Jagan Circar’s decision to remove Telugu medium importance in government schools. But his party’s lone MLA Rapaka Vara Prasad has spoken in support of YCP decision on the floor of Assembly itself. This is not the first time Rapaka is hailing Jagan government. On an earlier occasion also, he praised the ruling YCP. There were reports earlier that Rapaka would switch loyalty to YCP but, under the emerging political circumstances, he too is not ready to face by-election. Jana Sena MLA’s compliments come as a breath of fresh air for YCP at a time when Senani is launching non-stop, sarcastic attacks on Jagan Reddy’s leadership as a whole.
Rapaka’s consistent support to Jagan is sending wrong political signals to the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP leaders all over. Being an SC MLA, Rapaka Vara Prasad won from the Razole reserved assembly segment in East Godavari district. His sympathies are more with YCP just like how the majority SC communities throwing their weight behind Jagan Reddy. Because of this only, BJP leaders are making allegations of religious conversions being used an electoral tool by YSR son. Political analysts say that Jagan has undoubtedly got an increased grip over one particular caste and religion. All his policies are towards pleasing these two segments rather than holistic development of AP.
