Tirupati: Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party founder K. Pawan Kalyan seems to have stepping into the active politics with the party deciding to organise a massive public meeting in Tirupati on Saturday evening.
Pawan, who is camping in Tirupati, is learnt to have been reviewing the arrangements of the meeting along with his close aide and TTD governing council member Hari Prasad.
Indira Maidan, which is in the heart of the city, has been zeroed in for the meeting. According to the party leaders close to him, Pawan Kalyan will confine himself to guest office on Friday without giving appointment to meet leaders or fans.
The Jana Sena leader had darshan of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy atop Tirumala as a normal devotee in Sarva dharshana queue-line keeping VIP protocol aside yesterday. Pawan will once again invoke the blessings of the Lord tomorrow before taking part in the public meeting at 5pm.
Pawan is likely to raise several issues pertaining to the State politics and political scenario in the public meeting. This is the first time Pawan Kalyan is organising a full-fledged public meeting after he made several appearances during the meetings organised by the TDP-BJP combine before the elections.
With this public meeting being held tomorrow, the Jana Sena party is aimed at pitching strong voice for special status for Andhra Pradesh. It is evident from the recent remarks from Pawan Kalyan when he said as to what he could do if the elected public representatives had failed to get.
In the wake of Pawan Kalyan’s fan Vinod Royal murder, the meeting assumed significance as the Jana Sena leader is likely to make an appeal to his fans and supporters to shun fan wars. He had also met Vinod’s family members and assured help to them.
