The audio of NTR’s forthcoming action flick Janatha Garage has been unveiled yesterday night in a grand style in Hyderabad. The album, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, has six beautiful songs and here is our detailed review of the album. Let’s see if DSP can cast a magic spell with his tunes.
Song 1 : Pranaamam
Singer : Shankar Mahadevan
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
The album kicks off with an energetic salutatory song Pranaamam sung by Shankar Mahadevan with a booming tone. Ranina Reddy, a regular name in DSP’s wish list, starts the song with her impressive vocals and Shankar Mahadevan takes it to a good level with his energetic and unwavering voice. This song will be one of the best tracks in the album, with its buoyant rhythm and beautiful tune. The electrical guitar has been used to a great extent and the frets are adjusted with perfection to suit the superlative lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry. This song was shot in the eye pleasing locales of Mumbai.
Song 2 : Rock On Bro
Singer : Raghu Dixit
Lyricist : Ramajogayya Sastry
Switching to the next song, you will come across an instantly likeable fun-filled number Rock On Bro. Surprisingly, DSP has roped in Raghu Dixit, who is popular for his baritone voice, to sing this heartwarming song. Raghu’s effortless rendition coupled with the foot tapping tunes and an appreciable chorus make this song a delight for music lovers. Once again, DSP does a competent job with bass guitar and banjo to produce an addictive song. The lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry are meaningful and suits the mood perfectly. This song was shot recently in the exotic locations of Kerala.
Song 3 : Apple Beauty
Singers : Yazin Nizar, Neha Bhasin
Lyricist : Ramajogayya Sastry Matt
Tuning further, we get to hear a typical DSP number Apple Beauty which has catchy lyrics. DSP has roped in talented singers duo Yazin and Neha to sing this song which starts off with a frothy tune but transforms into a rich and resonant number. The voice modulation of singers seem grating at a couple of instances but the music scores decent marks. Falling head over heels with his romantic interest, the hero expresses his love by extolling the beauty and character of the female lead. This is context of the song and it has be shot in a lavish set. NTR’s dance moves are going to make this song a visual treat for audience.
Song 4 : Jayaho Janatha
Singers : Sukhwinder Singh and Vijay Prakash
Lyricist : Ramajogayya Sastry
The fourth song in the album is an emotional and intense number Jayaho Janatha which was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Vijay Prakash. The singers have pulled it off with a lot of ease and their impressive vocals have been backed superbly by DSP’s brilliant score. The lyrics, which demand great appreciation, are penned in a way that they aggrandize the ‘Janatha Garage ‘. The hard rock tune just elevates the proceedings, and this song appears as a background song in the film, probably, in the flashback episode.
Song 5 : Nee Selavadigi
Singer Swetha Mohan
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
The penultimate song in the album is a brief situational song Nee Selvadigi sung by Swetha Menon in an effusive way. Going by the melancholic lyrics, it is understandble that the song comes in a sad situation and Swetha Mohan has lent her heartfelt vocals and Devi Sri Prasad has complemented them with a touching tune in a beautifully unhurried manner. Once again credit must be given to Ramajogayya Sastry for penning impeccable lines.
Song 6 : Pakka Local
Singers : Sagar, Geetha Madhuri
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
On many occasions , Devi Sri Prasad has winded up his albums with a funky number. He pulls a similar treat again in Janatha Garage. The last song Pakka Local sung by the Sagar and Geetha Madhuri is an energetic peppy number with pulse pounding rhythm that will appeal to the front benchers. The strident voices of the singers seem a bit over the top. But, the album ends in a way that most of the music lovers would like it. Kajal Aggarwal will shake a leg with NTR in this item song.
Final Verdict :
All in all, Janatha Garage audio promises to be a chartbuster album with four instant hit songs. DSP, who has been one of finest and consistent composers down South, has once again delivered a promising album for NTR. The album has a terrific introduction song( Pranaamam) followed by a fun filled montage number ( Rock On Bro) and an intense theme song ( Jayaho Janatha). The impeccable lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry deserve a special mention.
