Chennai: Good news to all AIDMK party functionaries and Amma supporters. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is learnt to have been fast recovering and also spoke to the doctors. According to senior leader of AIDMK S. Ponnain, Amma spoke to British doctor Richard Beale.

She thanked the doctor for taking serious attention on her health condition. It is learnt that the Chief Minister was suggested bed rest of another 10 days in the hospital and later she will be monitored by the doctors for about another 15 days after discharging from Apollo, the senior leader said.

Due to severe lung infection, Amma is put on ventilator support. This is only a normal medical treatment and there would no doubt in the Chief Minister recuperating from the illness, he said. However, there is suspense over Amma’s health since the government is keeping the details of her health confidential.

The 68-year-old was taken ill and was admitted to the hospital complaining dehydration and fever on September 22. Although there were specification mentioned in various health bulletin released but the doctors had so far refused to disclose details on Amma’s condition.
