Actor Nani’s much-awaited sports drama Jersey is set for release on April 19th. The theatrical trailer is out today and it showcases the emotional journey of a middle-aged cricketer who strives to fulfil his dream despite all odds.

The two-minute trailer is filled with high emotions and intense performances by the lead pair. It starts off by introducing Nani as an aspiring cricketer and the girl who believed in his dreams. They fall in love with each other and get married. Ten years later, Nani is an unemployed man who is strapped for money. His personal life is in dire straits and he faces much mental agony. He has got no option but to rekindle his passion and achieve success.

It is clear from the trailer that Jersey is going to be an emotional rollercoaster ride which narrates the success story of a cricketer. The biggest takeaway in the trailer is the haunting background score rendered by Anirudh Ravichander which complements the emotional scenes perfectly. It seems like Nani has pulled off this soul-stirring role quite effortlessly. Shraddha Srinath also ably supported Nani with her practical dialogues. Satya Raj gets another meaty role as coach. The cinematography also appears to be promising and the scenes shot during the night came out very well. All in all, the trailer hints that Nani has an emotional outing for the audience this Summer.

Gautham Tinnanuri, who made an impressive debut with Malli Raava, is directing this film which is produced by Sitara Entertainments banner.
