NTR’s latest offering Jai Lava Kusa, which released in a grand way yesterday, took a flying start at the box office in all territories. In US, the film opened in nearly 190 locations making it on the biggest ever releases. Trade circles were expecting the premiers day gross in the range of $ 650 k – $ 700K due to the strong advance bookings and the handy Fandango offer.
But, the premiers collections have slightly fallen short of the trade expectations as the film managed to collect only close to $ 600 K. Less number of walk-ins than expected has impacted the collections resulting in a slight disappointment for trade. However, it has emerged as the highest opener in NTR’s career by surpassing the premiers of Janatha Garage which collected $ 584K.
With decent reports all over, Jai Lava Kusa is expected to perform well at the box office towards the first weekend. NTR’s impressive performance in this emotional thriller is the biggest asset which might draw crowds during this Dusheera season.
