Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kaala, directed by Ranjith Pa, has opened to mixed reports all over last Thursday. While the domestic earnings are underwhelming, the overseas collections have slightly picked up in the first weekend after a slow start.
According to latest trade reports from overseas, Kaala has entered the $ 1.5 M club on Sunday morning in overseas. After a slow start with $ 746K from Wednesday premiers and Thursday, the film went on to collect decent numbers on $ 312K and $ 385K from Friday and Saturday respectively. With Sunday’s numbers, the film has joined the elite list of films with $ 1.5M haul in overseas.
Kaala features Huma Qureshi and Nanna Patekar in important roles.
