Gorgeous south actress Kajal Aggarwal, who has had three releases this year, has been roped in to reprise the role of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut in the Tamil remake of Queen, the 2014 blockbuster film which narrates the story of a young married woman who goes on a honeymoon alone after being ditched by her husband. The film was supposed to be made with Tamannaah in lead, but was put on hold as she opted out of the project due to several reasons.
Now, with Kajal giving the nod, the film is all set to go on floors. The story for the Tamil remake will be retained from the original and a few changes will be made to suit the sensibilities of the audience here. Kajal Aggarwal also confirmed that she signed the dotted line and will adapt to fit the bill for the character. Sources say that she started prepping up for the role and the regular shooting will commence from October. This will be the first female centric film for Kajal.
The film will be produced by Manu Kumaran and will also be made in Telugu and Malayalam. Amy Jackson has been roped in to play Lisa Haydon’s role.
