The tussle between former Minister and TDP’s MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and YSR Congress Party MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy in Nellore district seems to be turning murky, as every day both of them resorting to levelling aggressive allegations against each other.
The tussle turned murky when Somireddy demanded Kakani to withdraw his allegation within 24 hours. Otherwise, he warns he would file a criminal complaint with police for producing `fabricated’ documents to show he is having properties in other countries.
It may be recalled that the problem started after Kakani alleged that Somireddy has secured over Rs 1,000 crore worth `illegal’ properties in the name of his family members in few foreign countries, though he claims to be `penniless’ in Nellore. Strongly condemning these allegation, Somireddy claimed that he didn’t have any properties outside the country.
However, later Kakani produced some papers before the media claims to be those related to properties details of Somireddy family members having at various places. Dismissing those papers as `fabricated’, Kakani has been demanding central and state agencies to take up probe into his allegations.
Kakani wondered that Somireddy is seeking to prove `originality’ of paper produced by him. Stating that those papers could be verified if a proper probe is conducted, he said he is ready even to verify those papers in the presence of police. Asserting that he is abide on his allegations and the papers produced by him were 100 per cent genuine, he said it is the duty of Somireddy to prove his `innocence’.
