Legendary Indian actor Kamal Haasan’s name is synonymous with immense contribution to Indian Cinema. In his 56 year cinematic career, the versatile actor has been conferred with numerous awards and rewards for his artistic brilliance. Now, Kamal Haasan has added yet another cap in his awards list. He has been conferred the prestigious Chevalier de l’Orde Des Arts et Letters (Knight in the National Order Arts and Letters) by the Minister of Culture and Communication of French government.
It is learnt that the Kamal Haasan has been honoured this award as a recognition for his unparalleled excellence and achievements in the field of cinema. He will join the elite of film personalities like Shivaji Ganeshan , Amithab Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya and Nanditha Raj who received this top honour from the French government. This award will be conferred on Kamal Haasan during a special event which will take place later this year in Paris.
Kamal, who is recovering from a leg injury, will resume shooting for his upcoming comedy caper Sabaash Naidu in September.
