Caste dynamics in the film industry are very real and you are naive if you think otherwise. Every major hero, especially when it comes to the previous generation, has a coterie filled with members of his caste.
When it comes to Balakrishna, he is usually surrounded by a Kamma lobby filled with veterans and politicians. Now this lobby is said to be exerting tremendous pressure on Balakrishna over the 100th film.
Balakrishna has already announced that he will work with either Krish or Krishna Vamsi for the 100th film and an announcement was supposed to come today. But nothing of the sort happened. Apparently, Balakrishna’s coterie wants him to work with Boyapati Sreenu instead of these two directors.
They believe that Boyapati Sreenu is the only director who can extract a powerful commercial performance from Balakrishna and hence the pressure. Their argument is that both Krish and Krishna Vamsi are more of sensible directors than outright commercial masters.
However, Balakrishna is reportedly fond of the subjects narrated by Krish and Krishna Vamsi. Let us see what Balayya has in mind!
