Thalaivi, the film based on the life of late CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha, is in production stages. Filming of the prestigious venture being made simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu began recently in Chennai.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut plays the titular role and Arvind Swami will be seen as legendary politician MG Ramachandran aka MGR, while Prakash Raj is roped in for other legendary politician Karunanidhi.

of Thalaivi have been unveiled in all the three languages. Kangana has nailed it in the old avatar of Jayalalitha and bore a striking resemblance to the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

The teaser shows two avatars of Jayalalitha as a star heroine of Indian cinema and then as hero of Tamil Nadu state as the chief minister.

Thalaivi is directed By Vijay and produced By Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh. Renowned makeup artist Jason Collins, who had worked in Hollywood films namely, Blade Runner and Captain Marvel is behind the perfect look of Kangana as Jayalalitha.
