Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor goes popular star Kamal Haasan’s way on film makers and writers returning their awards in protest against the alleged growing intolerance in the country.
Do not get personal and take intolerance upon ourselves. And, the best way lies in addressing the issue than returning the awards. Toeing the line taken by popular actor Kamal Hasan, this is in precise, what the actress of ‘Bairang Bhaijaan’, and Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor opined on some of the members of film fraternity and writers returning their awards in protest against the alleged growing intolerance in the country.
The actress is not ordinarily not seen and heard expressing her views on the controversial issues, however, has opened up her heart on the issues of intolerance, schools, and reactions of younger generation in the country on various issues.
Kareena, who is the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), celebrity advocate for education in the country, and in a freewheeling press meet held at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, she expressed her views, rather frankly on various issues.
The Bollywood actress said that instead of returning the awards it is better to address the issues bothering them (writers and film makers), and pointed out such issues are concerned to entire nation. So, it is better to address the issue than getting personal and returning awards. Because, returning awards would not solve the issue, she pointed out.
Expressing admiration over the firm stand the younger generation in the country are taking in reaction to different issues bothering the country, Kareena said that “is really inspired me”.
Taking part on the last day of a Child Right Convention Week, she stressed the need for quality improvement in standards, better basic amenities in schools and steps to enrol more number of children in the schools for better future to the future generations in the country.
