Kashmir state is boiling on the string of protests erupted after killing of Burhan Wani. Wani is recruitment icon for terrorist organisation named Hizbul Mujahideen. He was killed on July 8th at a special joint operation conducted by SOG, Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF. Sensing the possible eruption of violent protests from separatists, centre cut down the telephone and internet facilities.
But that doesn’t stop the protests as the separatists fanning the violence. Apart from separatists, Pakistani government is also trying to utilise the situation and accused the killing of Wani as extra judicial killing. Home Minister Rajnath Singh interacted with J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti and offered full support of central government in order to silence the protests. Extra CRPF forces also deployed to Kashmir for dealing with increasing protests.
Already 23 people reportedly died in the clashes and the death toll is rising. Central minister kiren rijiju had given fitting reply to Pakistan PMO tweets regarding Kashmir violence. He said that Pakistan should worry about the violence in Pak occupied Kashmir and not on the Indian Kashmir.
Around 15,000 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims stranded in Jammu. Several tourists blocked in Kashmir as they are unable to reach airport and airlines waiving off the rebooking charges for passengers supposed to fly in and out from city.
