Once again, controversial cine critic Kathi Mahesh made a scathing attack on Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan while addressing a convention of Madiga associations Joint Action Committee at Yemmiganur in Kurnool district today.
He accused Pawan of entering politics with an ulterior motive for his selfish interests. Jana Senani will change his political allies at the drop of a hat for the sake of money, Mahesh said.
The cine critic said that right now BJP has been patronising Pawan and using him to take on its political rivals. But in the next few months, Pawan will again change his allies for the sake of money politics and the Jana Senani was not really interested in his avowed goal of bringing change in the state, said Kathi Mahesh.
Calling upon his community to vote only for those who would support their common interests, Mahesh said Pawan’s party was afraid of Madiga community and he was not ready to talk about their issues anywhere.
He said Pawan’s influence was very little in any assembly constituency but, as a community, Madigas could attract a vote bank of 5,000 to 10,000 votes in every segment. “Then why should not we also aim at poliical power?” he asked.
Mahesh also appealed to his caste-men to contest on either YCP or Congress tickets in next elections. He criticised Chandrababu Naidu for not protecting the interests of their community.
Whenever Kathi Mahesh passes film-related comments on Pawan, it would stir a huge controversy. Pawan’s fans will immediately begin trolling the critic. Now their mutual bitterness will enter the political space as well. Voters may look forward for more fun and theatrics.
