Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has received unprecedented reception after he reaching Tirupati, this evening. Andhra Pradesh government and TTD administration has made elaborate arrangements, besides security set up to his visit.
He has reached the hill shrine of Tirumala at 7.15 pm along with his family members and Cabinet colleagues. He was given an official welcome by environment and forests minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, Tirupati MLA Sugunamma and Chandragiri MLA Ch Bhaskara Reddy at the Renigunta airport on his arrival by a special flight at 6 pm.
The Telangana chief minister will present ‘Gold Saligrama Haram’ and Petala Kantabharanam’ (gold necklace) to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala and also bestow a gold necklace and a diamond studded ear stud on Goddess Padmavathi tomorrow morning. His son and minister KT Ramarao, daughter and MP K Kavitha, along with their family members also will be present.
Rao who is on his first visit to Tirumala after the State bifurcation was welcomed by Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju and other TTD officials on his arrival at Srikrishna guest house in Sri Padamavati guest house area atop Tirumala.
Interestingly, YSRCP leaders met the Chief Minister at Tirumala guest house extending formal welcome to him. Those met him include former minister and Pungaluru MLA Dr P Ramachandra Reddy, his son and Rajampet MP P Mithun Reddy and MLA Ch Bhaskar Reddy.
Earlier in the evening, Telangana Assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, ministers T Hareesh Rao, Eetala Rajender, Pocharam Srinivasulu Reddy, A Indrakaran Reddy, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, and other VIPs have arrived by another flight from Hyderabad at 4.45 pm.
The TRS leaders have arrived in the temple city to attend a wedding in the family of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation chairman P Sudarshan Reddy at Pushpagiri Mutt in Tirumala.
On the occasion, TDP former leader and former Municipal Chairman K Sankar Reddy took out a motorcycle rally with over 100 youth to welcome the Telangana chief minister at the airport. However, the police diverted the rally to the old terminal of the airport citing election code of conduct.
