Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao appears to promote violence with his inexplicable advices to people.
Speaking on the issue of politicizing Bathukamma sarees on Wednesday KCR said, “When situation arises you should teach them(opposition) a lesson. You shouldn’t remain silent. If anybody tries to do cheap politics in people’s programmes, it is your responsibility to slap them and beat them. If you remain silent you will not get justice”.
It is bizarre that the TRS supremo is guiding people to take a vigorous approach. It may be recalled that on Sunday he advised Singareni Collieries workers to beat corrupt officials with slippers. “If anyone demands bribes or anyone pays bribes, hit both of them with chappals”.
KCR may not be intentionally promoting violence, but his call for a fiercer approach in dealing with corrupt and opposition parties is unsettling for a leader of his stature.
