AICC spokesperson and former Nizmbad MP Madhu Yaski Goud slammed Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Amravati Yatra as a GHMC drama. Reacting to KCR’s plan to visit the new Capital of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow, Yaski wondered as to how the Chief Minister, who had no time to reassure the families of farmers, who committed suicide, has enough leisure time to visit to Amravati.
” This is only to appease to the people of Andhra Pradesh settled in Hyderabad in view of the impending GHMC elections. The chief minister thinks by this visit he could win over the people, whom he once interrogatively called ‘Andhrollu’ and “settlers”. This is a political trip,” Yaski remarked.
Stating that many issues remain unresolved between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which include power, water and High Court, Yaski alleged that a Chief Minister, who was ready to fly to Andhra Pradesh to meet his counterpart, has no intentions to meet the same CM to sort out these pressing issues.
“If the TS CM takes initiative to meet the Andhra chief minister in Hyderabad for some time, all the contentious issues would get resolved in no time. Instead of doing this, KCR chose an occasion where he would be more visible and derive mileage in Andhra media,” he said.
According to the AICC spokesperson, both chief ministers, Andhra and Telangana, are trying to hide under sentimental issues rather than tackling the issues like farmer suicide.
