Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao set the stone for the integrated Collectorate complex and district police headquarters in Suryapet. Speaking on the occasion KCR said that TRS knows better than anyone else on how to develop Telangana. Showering sops in the Congress bastion, he said that the erstwhile Nalgonda was ignored by pervious governments.
The Nalgonda package includes
- 4000 MW Yadadri ultra mega power plant which will be the number one in the south India.
- Rs 75crore for infrastructure development in Suryapet
- Next year’s budget to include two medical colleges for the erstwhile Nalgonda district
- Grant of Rs 15 lakhs to 323 gram panchayats in Suryapeta
- Rs 10 lakh sanction for the development of every Lambada Tanda
- Developing Suryapeta Pullareddy pond
- Modernisation of Musi canal system such that the river has water around the year
In return the Chief Minister asked every household to grow six plants in the Suryapet district.
