Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is seems to be realised the need for a makeshift in the image of his government and the need to get access to various section of the population, who are said to be distanced themselves from the government. Till now, he succeeded in winning confidence of the people standing as a symbol of `Telangana sentiment’ emotions, which helped him to swept 2014 polls.
Though opposition parties are divided and failing in mobilising people against the government, besides they were in shattered position with the migration of several potential leaders to TRS, Chief Minister said the view of emotions may not continue till 2019 and he need to win over the people with his performance.
Immediately after adjournment of Assembly’s winter sessions for Sankranthi, he went to his farmhouse and held intense discussions with his close confidants and also some experts for three days. He tried to identify `weaknesses’ of his government.
The major drawback of his government, it was brought to his notice was that his `inaccessibility’ even to ministers and MLAs and also failing to makes substantial progress with regard to various flagship programmes of his government. The government also failing to reach the people with its performance.
Chief Minister is also now focusing on the organisational matters of the party. Till now TRS is functioning without regular party committees at district and mandal levels. Party MPs, MLAs and MLCs will also be motivated to formulate party structure till village level, so that to get ready for 2019 polls.
Chief Minister has also decided to focus on gaps in various government programmes and to draw plans so that to ensure 2019 benefits by each programme should be felt by the people. A pragmatic senior leader of TRS said that “Now we are not in illusion that Telangana sentiment would makes us to retain our power in 2019. We realilsed that we need to reach out people on our programmes and performance, for which we have to reach out various sections, who are yet to be comfortable with our party”.
