Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended invitation to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu for the proposed Ayuta Maha Chandi Yaagam. The Yaagam is being performed on an unprecedented scale at his farm house at Erravelli, Jagadevpur Mandal Medak district, from December 23 to 27. The Yagam is normally performed to get long life to the performer along with health and wealth to the society. It is also believed that Yagam would ward off all evils that likely to affect in one’s own life time.
This is for the second time that the Telugu CMs met in the past seven days, the first being in New Delhi at the marriage reception ceremony of union finance minister Arun Jaitley’s daughter. Rao flew to Vijayawada in a helicopter exclusively to invite Chandrababu to the ceremony.
Earlier Rao had invited Rashtrapati Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along as well as many union ministers such as M Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Sigh etc. BJP president Amit Shah also had been invited for the Yagam, which thousands of priests drawn from many Indian state are expected to perform. Rao arrived in Vijayawada accompanied by Etela Rajender, finance minister, Balka Suman MP Peddapalli. He was received by finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and social welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu. Both CMs had a meeting at latter’s camp office and Naidu hosted his Telangana guests with coastal Andhra delicacies.
According to Ravela, they two CMs had a one-on-one meeting for 15 minutes. He said both CM discussed the developmental plans being implemented in two states.
