Telangana CM KCR is eager to create new districts in the state. He has discussed the matter with Collectors on Monday. KCR has advised the Collectors for suggestion on scientific bifurcation of the districts.
Telanga state is going to celebtrate its second anniversary on June 2nd. There are so many things to do. Crafting the new states would lead to more shortage IAS and IPS officers. If the number of districts is doubled, then another dozen districts need more IAS and IPS officers. Each district requires a Collector and a joint Collector (IAS), an SP and Additional SP (IPS). Ts is already facing shortage of such officers.
From making TS farmer suicide-free state to achieving the Bangaaru Telangana goal, KCR has much work on hand. After focusing on the development for the first five years, then crafting new districts could be no problem, some observers say. KCR is already facing fierce criticism by the opposition for delaying the payments of fee reimbursement and Aarogya sree.
TS is witnessing agitations for new districts. Warangal district has witness violent protests. Karimnagar has also gone on the agitation way. There are at least to four demands for each district to craft a new one.
After formation of TS, people thought there will no bandhs and violent protests. But the agitations for new districts are a matter of worry for the people. This the time for the CM to think twice on this matter.
