Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao arrived in Amaravati and met AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy today. KCR visited and offered prayers at the Durga temple before proceeding to Jagan residence at Tadepalli. KCR’s visit raised political temperatures in Andhra Pradesh as he is inviting Jagan to be chief guest at the controversial Kaleswaram project inaugural function.
In the past, Jaganmohan Reddy attacked and criticised the Telangana government for constructing Kaleswaram irrigation project. He said that the then TDP government in AP was failing to take steps to protect AP farmers’ interests in this regard. Questions are now being asked how KCR can invite Jagan for his state’s project. Will Jagan accept the invitation? Despite criticism, KCR and Jagan met over lunch and discussed various other pending issues as well.
