In a move to put a checkmate to the BJP and Congress governments at the Centre, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has upped his ‘Federal Front’ movement. A key lobbying session is underway in Kolkata. The Telangana CM will be meeting West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, aka ‘Didi’ of Bengal. Both the leaders have expressed the desired for an alternative government to BJP and Congress.
With KCR to meet all the regional parties’ presidents in the upcoming days, this meeting with Didi of Bengal is the key. Mamata Banerjee has already extended her support to the ‘Federal Front’ proposal by KCR.
West Bengal senior politician Purnendu Basu and other government bureaucrats welcome KCR. The Telangana CM is to stay in ‘Taj Bengal Luxury Hotel’ Kolkata.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Manu Singhvi (Congress Spokesperson) said last week that, Congress is looking for ‘Grand Coalition’ that includes TRS and TMC (led by Mamata Banerjee). But KCR said that he wants to be a part of the non-Congress front. The meeting between KCR and Mamata Banerjee will decide the fate of ‘Federal Front’.
