Congress Telangana Working President Revanth Reddy is an arch enemy for CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao. There have been calculated efforts by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to defeat Revanth in Kodangal assembly segment. But this constituency is long known as a stronghold of Revanth and his followers have spread across the nook and corner of the segment. Regardless of this, TRS leaders are aiming at changing the field situation and win the segment by any means.
Against this backdrop, there are rumours that TRS leaders are going to money power to the maximum possible extent to stop Revanth Reddy. Accordingly, the ground work is being prepared. Seeing all this, Revanth Reddy has started attacking KCR saying that the TRS is bent upon spending up to an unbelievable Rs. 1,000 crore in different ways just for the sake of defeating Revanth alone. In fact, it is true that KCR has instructed his deputies to ensure that Revanth shall not enter the Assembly in 2018 election.
Referring to KCR’s firm resolve, Revanth says that all these abnormal efforts make Kodangal fight look like a mini ‘Kurukshetra sangramam’ (battle) in which eventually the good side gets victory. Whatever be the efforts of TRS leaders, their gimmicks will not work in Kodangal, says Revanth.
He is also drawing comparisons on KCR, KTR and Harish Rao’s repeated statements as they call upon TRS activists to work for winning 100 seats out of 119. Revanth says that this reminds everybody of ‘Mahabharata’ epic battle in which the Kauravas numbered up to 100 brothers but all their combined strength could not get victory because of their evil purpose. The numerically small group of Pandavas who are only five in number ultimately win.
