Pratyusha, the victim of father and step-mother’s torture, is now under the guardianship of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He had lunch with her this afternoon and instructed minister Kadiam Sirhari to take care of her needs especially the education. He also instructed Collector Raghunandan Rao and Cyberabad Police commissioner CV Anand to ensure her safety.
As per the CM’s wish, the Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court, upon discharge from Hospital on Wednesday, directed the officials to shift her to the custody of chief minister Rao. The Chief Justice spoke to her for about half-hour to know her mind on her custody. Officials then shifted her CM’s residence.
She was received by chief minister Rao and his wife Shobha at CM’s residence. Later on he instructed officials to release Rs 5 lakh from CM relief fund for her education. He advised her to forget past and to work hard to come up in life with the support she was getting from the Telangana government. This would be the fitting reply to her tormentors, the CM told her.
It may be recalled that two days ago, Chief Minister Rao and his wife visited the Hospital where Pratyusha was undergoing treatment for the wounds inflicted in the torture by her step mother. They assured her that they would adopt her as their daughter and ensured that she was safe.
Later official transferred her to the student’s hostel. KCR gave her his personal mobile numbers and asked her to call him without hesitation when in need.
