The BJP has stepped its offensive against the ruling TRS in Telangana election. BJP national president Amit Shah has accused CM and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao of having pushed the state into huge debts, saying that there is now Rs. 2.2 lakh crore debt burden on the state’s people. It is all because of unplanned expenditure and illegal activities of KCR and his family members, he added.
During his election meetings in Adilabad, Amit Shah advised KCR to at least make a dalit leader the new chief minister of Telangana. He recalled how Chandrasekhara Rao had betrayed the people by not fulfilling his long established promise of making a dalit leader CM after separate Telangana is formed. The BJP leader accused KCR of telling all lies with his sole aim being promotion of his family members in plum posts.
Amit Shah demanded to know why the TRS government was not implementing the developmental and welfare schemes launched by the Modi government in Telangana state. The true benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes are not reaching the common people because of the failures of the KCR government.
Amit Shah further said KCR has not conducted celebrations of Telangana liberation day during his regime just because he is afraid of incurring the wrath of his friendly Majlis party. He assured the voters of conducting liberation day celebrations in a grand manner once the BJP comes to power in the state.
