Telangana looks like a politically disturbed area. All political parties are out of capital. Congress, TDP, BJP, CPI, CPM and Left groups have been on the roads on one or the other ranging from cheap liquor, Pranahita-Chevella scrapping, farmer suicides etc. The suspension of the entire opposition has further inspired these parties to round the state and meet the families of the farmers who committed suicides, warangal encounter killing and visiting project sites, staging dharnas, rasta rokos and now on yatras. The Opposition parties have taken to the streets in the name of a Rytu Paramarsa Yatra to instill confidence among farmers and to appeal to them not to take the extreme step due to drought or inability to repay debt. To some extent the opposition parties are able to dent the image of TRS government by painting it as anti-farmer.
To counter this, now chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to tour the state and explain the government position on various issues. According to Irrigation and legislative affairs minister T Harish Rao after the session, the CM will take up the districts-tours to counter Opposition charges against the government. The CM also participate in some developmental programs as well. He will explain progress on Water Grid program, Kakatiya mission, Kaleswaram Irrigation Project corporation program and the Palamuru- Ranga Reddy project and how these projects would transform the face of Telangana in a couple of years.
