Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s attempts to satisfy his ‘ego’ on TSRTC strike are costing students in Telangana state dearly. Instead of making attempts to resolve the strike, KCR has been only taking hasty decisions day in and day out to complicate the RTC strike issue further.
In yet another such a decision taken today, KCR has decided to extend the Dasara vacation for schools in Telangana to October 19 citing TSRTC strike. After KCR became CM, Telangana schools are already forced to give 16-day vacation for Dasara. Schools are observing Dasara vacation since September 28.
With the extension by one more week, the total holidays for Dasara have increased to 23, which is almost equal to a month. Schools, students and parents doubt is this a Dasara vacation or summer vacation.
On Saturday, KCR issued orders to officials to ensure 100 per cent RTC buses ply on roads within three days. If KCR is so confident of ensuring 100 per cent buses in three days, why did he extend Dasara vacation for schools by a week.
This shows KCR is only faking on TSRTC strike. It’s common for KCR to make tall claims and fix unrealistic deadlines. Now TSRTC strike deadlines have also fallen under this category.
Telangana students are losing valuable working days to satisfy KCR’s ‘ego’.
