Buoyed by the bumper majority with which TRS is going to grab the Huzunagar seat from Congress today going by counting trends, TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to waste no time to conduct municipal polls in Telangana and bury Congress and BJP so deep in Telangana that they would not recover before the crucial 2023 Assembly polls.
The Huzurnagar result will certainly push Congress and BJP into the corner ahead of municipal polls.
The confidence levels of Congress and BJP have hit very low today with Huzurnagar bypoll result.
KCR does not want to give any opportunity for Congress and BJP to recover from this shocker and has decided to hold municipal polls in Telangana in the first week of November itself.
This would mean that there would be hardly 15 days time left for municipal polls.
Congress and BJP which are in deep shock with Huzurnagar result will not be able to find even right candidates to take on TRS within this short period.
The TRS which got a big booster with Huzurnagar bumper victory wants to exploit this situation to its advantage and finish off municipal polls even before Congress and BJP could take a breath.
KCR has already finalised the list of TRS candidates for municipal polls.
KCR strongly feels that Congress and BJP will be completely buried in Telangana once TRS sweeps municipal polls and would not be able to recover before 2023 Assembly polls.
KCR directed officials to make arrangments to conduct municipal polls in Telangana in the first week of November.
With this election, all elections will be finished in Telangana and there would be no elections in Telangana till 2023 Assembly polls barring elections for GHMC, Khammam municipal corporation.
KCR wants to focus completely on the administration for the next four years without any need to fear about elections or model code of conduct and put TRS in even stronger position before 2023 Assembly polls.
