Young director Nag Ashwin has been busy with the pre-production work of his second film which is said to be the biopic of the legendary actress Savithri. Several names have been considered to reprise her role on screen however none of them have been locked as of now. It was Vidya Balan and Nithya Menen who happened to be the front-runners for the role. Samantha has been asked to play a pivotal role in the film.
As per the latest news, South Indian sensation Keerthy Suresh is in talks for the role and she is yet to give her nod. She heard the final draft recently but the confirmation will be out in couple of days as the actress is quite worried about her dates as she has her hands full till the end of this year. Senior filmmaker Ashwini Dutt will bankroll this big ticket movie which will start rolling from February this year. NTR and Naga Chaitanya have been asked to reprise the roles of their grandfathers on screen.
