Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy hit back at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, saying, no one is opposing Musi beautification and stressed Opposition is only against demolition of poor people’s houses.
Participating in a sewage line inauguration in Gandhinagar Division in Hyderabad, Kishan Reddy on Friday responded on CM Revanth Reddy’s press conference on Musi.
“CM Revanth Reddy is unnecessarily trying to blame Opposition parties on Musi issue. No one is opposing Musi beautification. We are only opposing the demolition of houses of poor people, in the name of Musi beautification. Who is stopping Revanth Reddy? Let him beautify Musi and even construct CM’s residence there,” said Union Minister Kishan Reddy mocking Telangana CM.
Kishan Reddy questioned the logic behind Revanth Sarkar’s decision of demolishing houses of poor and middle class and allotting them double debroom houses, which have no facilities.
“CM Revanth Reddy should know that Musi beautification and rejuvenation cannot happen without solving drainage and sewerage problem of Hyderabad. Musi can be cleaned by constructing retaining walls on both sides of the Musi. About 30 percent of Telangana population is living in Hyderabad. Government should come up with a proper action plan instead of creating fear and confusion among people,” further said Kishan Reddy.
