The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) struggling it’s hard to check domination of Gudivada MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao, popularly known as Nani, in his constituency Gudivada of Krishna district. The constituency is known as a fortress of TDP and Nani was a former TDP MLA. But on his individual influence, he had won from here as YSRCP candidate in the last elections. Since then he turned as a hard-nut for the ruling party.
TDP particularly became impatient due to his loud and aggressive nature. Moreover his close association with young NTR, who was responsible for making him as TDP candidate in 2009 polls, irritating TDP leadership, who are well known for their aversion to this promising film artist.
In order to check his aggressive nature during ongoing Janmabhumi programme, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has appointed party’s outspoken MLC Budda Venkanna as Protocol Incharge for the Gudiwada constituency. That enables him to practically monitor Janmabhumi activities.
As already Gudiwada Municipal Chairman Yalavarthi Srisnivasa Rao joined TDP resigning from YSRCP, TDP leadership is now sure that both of them can check Nani without taking prime positions in official programmes.
Since coming to power, TDP started attempts to make Nani helpless by attracting all potential YSRCP leaders into its fold and also giving nomination positions to influential leaders in each mandal. For example, former minister Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao from Nandivada mandal, was made as APCOB Chairman.
Gutta Sivaramakrishna from Gudiwada rural mandal was made as East Krishna Delta Project Committee and Dr C L Venkata Rao from Gudlavalleru mandal was made as Vice Chairman of Swacha Bharath Mission. These nominates makes TDP assertive in all mandals, though MLA hails from the opposition party. However, TDP worries reckless MLA Nani could manage on his own aggressive nature creating headache to them.
