Days after strongly denying any attempts to start a new regional political party from his side, Telangana JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram has expressed his keen desire for a `political change’ in the newly formed Telangana state with the `replacement’ of present Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. These remarks have been clearly confirming his political and `pro-left’ ambitions.
He made these interesting remarks at a public meeting held in Mahabubnagar, when CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram’s `Mahajana Padayatra’ reached here, on its 90th day.
Stating that people of Telangana looking for a `political change’, he has indicated his mission is to overthrow K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government. Moreover, stating that his views are similar to CPM, he has also has revealed his priorities on `pro-left’ politics.
Stating that he is striving hard for a major political change, the left-lenient professor asserted that the change begins from Telangana in the country. Stressing the need for overhauling Telangana politics, he said he is aiming at social justice and Telangana’s reconstruction. Comparing his path with Veerabhdram’s `Telangana’s social justice and integrated development’, he said both of them are having similar political identities.
In this regard indicating the need for other opposition parties to rally around him, he said that opposition should be magnanimous. Accusing that TRS’s government development model is benefiting few real estate developers, he demanded that the development should be centred on people.
Referring to large number of leaders have been migrating to the ruling party, he accused that they are defecting for the sake of money. He strongly opposed the state government move to allow private universities. He asked the government to resolve unemployment problem by filling up of all vacancies and DSC and other notifications for recruitment should be announced every year at a specified time.
