‘Larry King’ of Telugu media Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, a.k.a KSR joined Sakshi channel, which is owned by the YSR Congress Party leader Mr.YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Mr. KSR has been conducting a namesake live show ‘ Live with KSR’, which is aired at 7:30 AM everyday. Telugu360 reported earlier that it is going to be a tight rope for KSR, and it is not going to be an easy ride for KSR to work with editors who are junior to him. Also, we reported that Reddy domination in Sakshi is also not going to make things easy for KSR. Now this is what is exactly happening at Sakshi.
True to his word, Jagan asked Sakshi management to give a complete free hand to KSR. Now this has caused rift with the seniors in Sakshi as they feel he is overplaying “Jagan Card” and this was brought to the notice of K. R. Murthy, who also sided with KSR. The ratings have been not encouraging so far and NTV is holding steady in TRP/BARC ratings.
From last few years, TDP leaders have completely boycotted Sakshi TV. Finally, when an MLA joined KSR’s debate, he was not allowed to speak even for a minute and MLA threatened to walk-out as KSR along with YSR Congress MLA interrupted continuously.
On the other hand, the likes of Amar Devulapalli are feeling vexed with KSR’s entrance. “Earlier, senior journalist such as Murali Krishna, Satish exercised some caution when adopting a pro-YSR stand. But KSR is supporting YSR forgetting his fiduciary duty as a journalist. Sad to see a senior well reputed journalist stoop to this level” opines a senior journalist, who worked with KSR before. Will have to see how things pan out, but as of now things are not at all rosy for “Larry King”
