The dance of democracy around elections in India assumes a different form altogether. The title track of ‘Kota Bommali PS’ is timely and topical. Its lyrics are not preachy and yet the song, as a whole, is thought-provoking. The election-time mindset of voters (who proudly seek money from parties) and casteist leaders has been playfully portrayed by it.
Ranjin Raj’s score, Rambabu Kosala’s lyrics and the singing are enjoyable. We also get a taste of the nature of Murali Sharma’s shrewd character.
Srikanth Meka and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are seen as cops in this film which also features Rahul Vijay, Murali Sharma and Shivani Rajasekhar. Producers Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi recently hinted that the film will up the game through political dialogues. The title song only reinforces the statement.
Directed by Teja Marni and produced by GA 2 Pictures, the survival thriller will arrive at the cinemas on November 24.
