Continuing the steam of migration of several prominent young leaders joining the main opposition party YSR Congress, keeping in view of forthcoming assembly polls, former TDP minister’s son Kotagiri Sridhar from West Godavari district today announced his decision to join with leader of opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
After meeting Jaganmohan Reddy at latter’s house in Hyderabad, he expressed his willingness to join the party. His father Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao to be number two to NTR while TDP was in opposition, he said that he would formally join the party at a public meeting to be held at Dwaraka Tirumala of West Godavari district on January 29.
Earlier, he held talks along with senior leaders including Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and others. On this occasion, he said that “after seeing the way YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been conducting his role as Leader of Opposition, I am very much impressed and am sure that he would become chief minister and win a mandate in the 2019 elections”.
Welcoming him into the party, YSRCP senior leader and former minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose said that Sridhar hails from a political family and has full grasp over the developments in West Godavri district and his presence would strengthen the party very much.
