Telangana Municipal Administration and IT minister KT Ramarao said he would be attending the Global Telangana Convention being conducted by the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) in US in order to seek their participation in the reconstruction of Telangana state.
The convention is scheduled to be held from June 3 to June 5 at Dallas, Texas, US.
The Forum has began inviting all important personalities of from Telangana to the convention now. As part of this a team led by TDF president K Vishsweswar Reddy called on Ramarao and extended invitation.
Lauding the efforts of TDF in uniting the Telanganites spread across the globe, Ramarao said the event would help create solidarity among Telangana people. He said he would urge the Telangana NRIs to actively take part in the reconstruction of Telangana. “We have achieved Telangana separate state after so much sacrifice. The state government set an ambitious goal of achieving Bangaru Telangana, where everything is aplenty, job, water, power and opportunities. I am going to participate in the convention and discuss with them on the roles they can play in the transformation of Telangana into Bangaru Telangana,” Ramarao said upon accepting the invitation.
He said when in Dallas, he wants to hold a meeting of other Telangana NRI associations to call upon them to extend their cooperation to chief minister KCR. The CM, Ramarao said, had embarked on a mission of making Telangana and Hyderabad first call of port for investments in India.
” It needs cooperation from all Telangana NRI organization. I am hopeful all T-NRIs will more than be willing to work for the cause of Telangana,” he said.
According to Vishsweswar Reddy Telanganites from across the globe are expected to participate in the in first-ever Global Telangana Convention scheduled to begin from June 3 to June 5 at Dallas, Texas, US. The convention, which is being planned in the wake of formation of separate Telangana state. is a joint venture of Telangana Development Forum and Telangana organizations in the US.
Apart from chief minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj are being invited to the convention. Vishsweswar Reddy praised the role played by Sonia Gandhi and Sushma in the formation of Separate Telangana state.
