Former Telangana IT Minister KTR has strongly refuted allegations surrounding a recent gathering at Janwada, stating it was merely a family dinner during the festival season. During a media interaction at his Nandi Nagar residence, KTR dismissed rumors of a rave party, emphasizing that the event took place at Raj Pakala’s residence, not a farmhouse.
“This was a simple family gathering during Dasara and Deepavali festivals. Since when did hosting family members for a meal become a crime?” KTR questioned, expressing frustration over what he termed as false propaganda against his family.
Addressing the drug test controversy, KTR revealed that while 12 people tested negative, only one person showed positive results. He demanded an investigation into where that individual consumed drugs, rather than targeting the entire family gathering. The BRS leader questioned the sudden escalation of the case, noting how it changed from a routine excise check in the morning to a drugs case by evening.
KTR accused both Congress and BJP of orchestrating a conspiracy against his family to divert attention from the current government’s failures. He challenged the ruling Congress government’s performance, highlighting their inability to implement promised schemes over the past 11 months in Telangana.
“Instead of answering our questions about their administrative failures, they’re trying to silence us with false accusations,” KTR stated, affirming that BRS would continue its role as a strong opposition voice despite such pressures.
The former minister emphasized that no drugs were found at the gathering location, calling the entire controversy a deliberate attempt to tarnish his family’s reputation. He vowed to continue questioning the Congress government’s policies and performance while fighting against what he described as politically motivated allegations.
