KTR who is spearheading most of the portfolios in Telangana government is all set to take additional responsibility. He is all set to become first foreign minister of the newly formed state. Telangana government is planning to have separate foreign ministry department to oversee NRI affairs and state relationship with several countries. The new foreign ministry of the state will also take up the responsibility of marketing Telangana state as one of the best destinations for foreign investors.
Already Telangana government prepared its draft NRI policy. The NRI policy will be tabled for discussions on July 16th. KTR is ready to take as in charge of the ministry once the policy has been finalized. With this implementation, Telangana state becomes the first state in the country to have dedicated ministry for external affairs.
The idea of having separate foreign ministry department has been borrowed from the Kerala government wherein a minister is handover the responsibility of welfare of migrants from the state. But Telangana will have separate ministry and other officials to look into external affairs. Already KTR becomes the face of Telangana government among investors.
He successfully lured many high profile investors to Hyderabad. Now, after taking up as first foreign minister of state, he will sure go a step ahead for seeking investments.
