L2: Empuraan is heading for a record release across the globe in all the Indian languages on March 27th. The Telugu press conference took place today and Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran along with Telugu distributor Dil Raju attended the press conference. During his speech, the film’s lead actor Mohanlal heaped praise on Telugu cinema. He said that he is eagerly looking to sign a Telugu film soon and the talks are going on.
“Telugu film industry is the best one in the country. The kind of respect you are showing to cinema and actors is amazing. This is my 47th year in films and I had an opportunity to work with some of the greatest stars. I worked with Nageswara Rao garu and we love Telugu cinema. We watch Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films in Kerala. The habit should now change. People should watch our Malayalam movies” told Mohanlal.
Speaking at the event, the film’s director and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran said “We have never announced the budget of the film.I am going to put a challenge out here. Your guess on the film’s budget is more than the real budget. That is Malayalam cinema. Thank you Telugu cinema for respecting us”.
