This is a clear example of what happens when a common man chooses to fight against the corrupt politicians. Bonda Uma is a key leader in the TDP party. He has been accused of land encroachments and other illegal activities in the past.
The latest news is that Vijayawada Revenue officials have served notices to Bonda Uma’s wife, Bonda Sujatha, and her close aide in a land encroachment case. They are required to attend Sub-Collector office for a further hearing.
Kesireddy Suryanarayana has been allotted 10 acres land under ‘Freedom Fighter’ quota in 1951. His grandson, Kesireddy Suresh Babu inherited the property.
He approached the Singh Nagar (Vijayawada) Police Station (on 10th February 2017), complaining that, Bonda Uma encroached the 10-acre land by creating fake documents. With no support from the local police, he took the case to the CID.
The whole thing came to light during the CID Infestation. Meanwhile, Bonda Uma approached the High Court, asking the case to be struck down. After hearing the arguments, the High Court gave a stay of 8-weeks and asked the CID to file a counter-petition in this context.
With the news grabbing media attention, and CID in place, Bonda Uma’s wife might play the role of scapegoat, while Bonda Uma’s political career might have a brief set back.
