Nandamuri Balakrishna is busy shooting for his 100th film in the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi. The film is set against the life history of reigning Satavahana ruler Gauthamiputra Satakarni whose capital was Amaravati. The first schedule of the film happened in Morocco and crucial war episodes were shot for a couple of weeks.
The unit is now gearing up for the next schedule which will commence from the 30th of this month in Hyderabad. A lavish warship set was erected near Chilukuri Balaji temple which located in the outskirts of Hyderabad. In this schedule, key episodes involving Balakrishna will be shot for a few days. Bollywood dream girl Hema Malini is playing an important role in the film.
The female lead for the film is yet to be finalized. First Frame Entertainment banner is bankrolling the project and Devi Sri Prasad is giving the tunes. The film is slated for Sankranthi 2017 release.
