Time is running out for anyone hoping to open a liquor shop in AP. Excise Commissioner Nishant Kumar has announced that today is the final day to submit applications, with the deadline set for 7 PM sharp.
For those applying online, you have until 7 PM to complete your registration and until midnight to pay the required fees. If you prefer to apply in person with a bank draft, make sure you’re in line at an Excise station by 7 PM to secure your spot.
The response so far has been overwhelming. Nishant Kumar reports that they’ve already received 65,424 applications for just 3,396 available shop licenses. This flood of interest has brought in a staggering 1,308 crore rupees in application fees for the government.
Officials are bracing for an even busier final day, expecting over 20,000 more applications to come in before the deadline. They believe the total number of applicants could surpass 80,000 by day’s end.
Individuals planning to submit application at an Excise station today, be prepared for long lines. The good news is that if you’re in line by 7 PM, you’ll receive a token ensuring your application will be accepted.
Commissioner Nishant Kumar urges all applicants to follow the rules carefully to help the process run smoothly. He emphasizes the importance of cooperation during this final push.
