TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh ridiculed the book ” Chandrababu Naidu : Emperor of Corruption” brought out by YSR Congress as a bunch of lies. Reacting on the opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s “Save Democracy” campaign in New Delhi, Lokesh dared Jagan for a public debate on the corruption in TDP and YSR regimes.
” I am ready for a debate on the two books – “Raja of Corruption” released by TDP on YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s corruption in 2006 and the ” Emperor of Corruption” by YSRC now,” he said.
Taking light of Jagan’s campaign against chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh said Jagan was not given appointment by any one in New Delhi and he met all in parliament central hall.
Referring to the amount of money involved in the corruption in various projects as mentioned in Emperor of Corruption , the TDP national general secretary dismissed the entire book as trash. ” The cost of the fiber grid project was 350 crore. Jagan says Rs 1400 crore worth corruption took place in the project,” he said. Jagan should owe an explanation to the people on this , he added.
Lokesh condemned the charge that Naidu was offering money MLAs and asked that many other leaders also joined the party what about those leaders who are neither MLAs nor MLCs.
Lokesh, who has become extremely busy in the past three days , the TDP is ready for 2019 elections.
Lokesh, however, seems to have been misled by some confidantes, or he might not have watched the news on TVs which showed clearly where Jagan met BJP ministers and other senior non-BJP leaders. Both Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley gave appointments to Jagan at their respective offices. CPI and CPM meetings took place in respective party offices.
During UPA days, Congress leaders used to wait for Sonia and Rahul in parliament central hall and catch up with them when the pass through the central hall either going to the House or returning from the house.
But, this is not the case with Jagan. BJP central leaders never denied appointment to Jagan in the past 22 months. Lokesh should understand the politics BJP central leaders are playing in AP.
Araku MLA joins TDP
In another development Araku MLA Sarveswar Rao also today joined the party along with many followers. It’s really setback for Jagan as the MLA played crucial role in the resistance to reopening of Bauxite mining in Araku valley. Rao migrated to TDP along with exMLA Gandi Babji.
