The last date for filing of nominations is March 7. The elections will be held on March 20 for the seven legislative Council seats under the MLAs quota. The senior leaders are already discussing the portfolio which will be given to Lokesh. Palle Ragunatha Reddy is the minister for Information Technology and communications.
Naidu currently holds the portfolios of General Administration, Law & Justice, Energy, Infrastructure, Investment, Industries & Commerce, Public Enterprises, Cinematography, and Tourism. It is possible that Lokesh will be blessed with one of these portfolios.
The budget session which commences on March 6 will give more insights into portfolios. Grapevine is that Lokesh will be given ministries, on par with Telangana counterpart KTR who was MLA thrice. The cabinet expansion and swearing in of the ministers is expected to conclude on or before Ugadi.
