Finally, the muhurtham for TDP national general secretary and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh to join his father’s cabinet said to be finalised. After delaying his coronation for nearly one and half year, now Naidu’s family members have reportedly succeeded in getting a firm commitment from Naidu to take up cabinet reshuffle on Ugadi day, on the next day of the conclusion of Assembly budget session, March 29.
It may be recalled that Lokesh is seen in recent times impatient for abnormal delay in cabinet reshuffle, which was originally promised in October, 2015. Chief Minister’s family members have reportedly suggested to take up on February 19, as it will be auspicious muhurtham on the basis of Lokesh janma nakshatram.
However, as MLC elections are now going on, Chief Minister feared that would have adverse impact on polls and convinced him to take up immediately after the polls. Meanwhile, the Assembly budget session is schedule to be held from March 6 to 28. This makes the Chief Minister to finalise Telugu New Year’s day Ugadi as auspicious muhurtham for cabinet reshuffle.
According to TDP sources as many seven present ministers are likely to be dropped from the cabinet. Among them high profile Municipal Administration Minister Dr P Narayana and agriculture minister Prattipati Pulla Rao are likely to lose their cabinet berths.
Others in the row are said to be K Atchaiah Naidu, P Raghunadha Reddy, Ravela Kishore Babu, P Sujatha and Mrunalini. Mrunalini will be replaced by state TDP president Kala Venkata Rao. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is also likely to join the cabinet.
About three MLAs, who had defected from YSRCP last year are likely to be inducted into the cabinet. Most of TDP seniors, who are waiting for cabinet berths are likely to be disappointed.
