Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seemed to have been finding himself in a piquant situation in sacking a minister in his cabinet. The reason is Kapu agitation. Indirectly, Kapu patriarch and former Minister is creating trouble to Naidu in taking decisions within his purview. The reason why Naidu is adamant in sacking the minister is because the latter is having differences with Nara Lokesh. Not just that the Minister is also reportedly facing allegations from his colleagues too and taking independent decisions with regard to the portfolio he has been given.
It is learnt that another Minister in Naidu’s cabinet, who is also close relative of the Minister facing charges, is assuaging the Chief Minister over the issue. Even then, Naidu is very much irritated with the trouble being created with the Minister in the State.
There might be another point that kept Chandrababu Naidu waiting in sacking the minister. Since Mudragada is again hitting the roads demanding BC reservation for the Kapu community from Novermber 16, it would not be fair to sack a Minister representing the community which is very much angry on the Chief Minister and his earlier promises. Subsequently, the ruling TDP would face severe criticism from the people.
Meanwhile, the Minister too knew about the prevailing situation and the Naidu’s decision is awaiting his expulsion from the cabinet. However, the politics pundits say that the sacking of this Minister may bring changes in the present political situation.
