Raghuvira Reddy, APCC president, who kicked up commotion in government, by questioning the appointment of Nara Lokesh ‘friend’ Sitapati Abheeshta as chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD), took the controversy further today by asking the government to make all the files related to Abheeshta public.
Raghuvira issued he second salvo following GAD secretary Meena’s clarification on the Sitapati Abheeshta’s appoint an chief minister’s OSD on Wednesday. Meena said he was appointed as per the recommendations of Chief Minister’s Office (CMO)
Raghuvira demanded the all these files be presented before an all party meeting. The APCC president alleged that extra-constitutional elements were functioning in the CMO and Abheeshta as OSD in CMO was the evidence.
“All the important files are being passed through CM Naidu’s son Lokesh’s ‘Man Friday’ Abheeshta. Every key file is processed through Abheeshta who in turn taking instructions from to Lokesh on appropriate line to be taken on the file,” he alleged.
Reiterated his allegation that Abheeshta was appointed as OSD in the CMO without proper, Raghuvira asserte, ” his charge has been confirmed from the response given by the government to an RTI query. Appointing Abheeshta as the in charge of IT, IT infrastructure, e-Governance and APSRAC is against the AP Secretariat Business Rules.”
According to the rule, the government was not supposed to entrust official responsibility to a private person, he added. The Congress veteran demanded that the all files regarding the appointment and the role being played by Sitapati Abheeshta be placed before an all-party committee.
